Westbrook Church is committed to supporting Christian organizations and individuals outside of the Westbrook Church family serving Christ. The church gives financial support. Church members also donate needed items as well as their time. There is a conscious effort to identify and support partners both internationally and in the local community.
Westbrook Church is humbled and honored to be able to support organizations and people who are fulfilling the great commission found in Matthew 28:19, where Jesus said, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the world.” We believe supporting outreach and missions is an expression of the love Jesus showed when He sacrificed Himself on the cross for us. Outreach and Missions is a tangible expression of the commandment Jesus asked of us in John 15:12 “This is my commandment. Love one another in the same way that I have loved you.”
Westbrook Church has a committee called Outreach and Missions. Their charge is to help identify partners new partners and organize activities in which the congregation can participate. An annual budget analysis assures Westbrook Church is a good steward of the monies donated. The committee also ranks praying for our partners as a top priority. There is much evil in the world. It is also clear that God hates evil and injustice. Therefore, we support organizations like International Justice Ministry that fights slavery around the world.
If you wish to receive a list of our partners, so you know who to pray for, just let us know. If you want to serve on the committee or donate to a partner, please contact the church.
We pray that God uses the outreach and mission focus of Westbrook Church to assist people in need and bring many to a saving relationship with our Lord.
