Signs of Progress

We moved to Carver ten years ago when there was no Fleet Farm, no grade school, and no road construction. But shortly after we moved, the big news in Carver was the opening of Fleet Farm. There was a buzz in the community because having Fleet Farm was going to put Carver on the map! Of course we went up to Fleet Farm when they did their grand opening and celebrated with the community. Where else can you buy guns, butter, lawn supplies and get your oil changed? Only at Fleet Farm.

Our church doesn’t sell flannel shirts, horse feed or canoes, but we offer people a place to belong, become, and be a blessing. Just like Fleet Farm, we are doing our own grand opening this fall on September 19 and we want the community to come! We had our first service in our new building on June 13. We took the summer to get used to the facility and work out the many kinks that come with a new building. We also thought that if there ever was a summer where people would get out of town, it would be this summer after the pandemic.

Our plan was to do a soft opening in June and then this fall have a grand opening. So on Sunday, September 19, we will celebrate our grand opening and let the community know we are open for business. One way you can help us is to be thinking and praying about people you can invite to our grand opening. We want people who don’t have a church home to come to Westbrook and make it their church home. Be praying for those people and invite them to our church on Sunday, September 19. We will have two services – one at 9 and one at 10:30 AM. Following the 10:30 AM service there will be a social time with games and food.

Everyone is welcomed on September 19.
