A Perfect Fit!

One of the many volunteer committees Westbrook Church has is the Outreach and Missions

Committee. A few years ago, the committee members wanted to make sure the work of the committee was clear to the congregation. We confirmed what Jesus said in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” We also believe it applies equally to us when Jesus said to his disciple Peter in John 21:16,17, “If you love Me- feed my sheep.” Committee member, Jackie Hope, said, “Our tagline should be Here, Near, and

Far.” We all knew that was a perfect fit!

Two groups we are highlighting in February are:

New Life Family Services. They are a faith based not for profit organization. They compassionately open their doors and their hearts to women and men who believe abortion is the only solution to an unplanned pregnancy. Through practical and spiritual counsel, they provide education and support with the hope each client will make a life-affirming decision for their unborn child.

Programs that are offered are:

Pregnancy Centers

New Life operates five pregnancy center locations, known as First Care, throughout the Twin Cities and Rochester communities. 

Licensed Adoption Services

New Life Adoptions has been licensed to provide adoption services since 1980.

Post-Abortion Recovery

Through Conquerors, New Life restores hope after abortion to men and women ready to seek healing from the damage a past abortion has caused in their lives.

You will notice a snowperson on the wall in the hallway. Snowballs are attached. If you feel so moved, remove a snowball, and bring back the item written on the snowball. 

First Peoples Initiative. This is a mission dedicated to bringing the knowledge of Christ’s love to the Native American people in Northern Minnesota.  Founders Ryan and Christin O’Leary will be speaking at Westbrook this spring.
