2020 has been a crazy year, and this year's trunk-or-treat was no exception with our wintry weather. With the cold, wind, and snowflakes flying, it felt like we could have been celebrating Christmas...even our trunk decorating winner was decorated with a Christmas theme. It was a good thing that we had trunk-or-treaters to warm our hearts!
We had a great turn out for our trunk-or-treat event from both our community and our Westbrook families. Trunk-or-treaters came out to enjoy gathering up goodies and then warmed up with a cup of hot cocoa and some smores by our fire. We invited all trunk-or-treaters to take home one of our mini pumpkins lining our trunk-or-treat path.
Our participants in the trunk decorating contest had a chance to win 1 of 3 gift card prizes to Caribou Coffee, Quiznos, or Chipotle. Our trunk-or-treaters voted on the trunk decorating. The top 3 trunks were: 1st place was Laura Sullivan with a Christmas themed trunk, 2nd place was the Renodin family with a Noah's Ark themed trunk, and 3rd place was Chris and Irv Donaldson with a Spider-Man themed trunk.
Everyone participating did an incredible job decorating their trunks. We thank you for your enthusiasm and participation because we could not host trunk-or-treat without you.
Westbrook invites the public from our surrounding communities to this event and welcomes them to meet our church community. For those who come that do not yet have faith in Jesus, we pray this can be a step towards Christ and a life changing transformation through salvation!
